Role Overview
The Computer Instructor for the Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) program is responsible for delivering high-quality computer education to students. This role involves teaching fundamental and advanced computer skills, guiding students in practical applications, and preparing them for professional and academic growth in the IT field.
The instructor will play a key role in developing students’ technical knowledge, creativity, and confidence in using digital tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Training
- Deliver structured lessons on DCA subjects such as:
- Basic Computer Fundamentals
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Internet & Email
- Graphic Design Basics
- Introduction to Programming (if applicable)
- Conduct both theoretical and practical classes
- Simplify complex topics for beginner-level students
- Practical & Lab Management
- Guide students during computer lab sessions
- Assign hands-on tasks and real-world projects
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of lab equipment
- Student Assessment
- Prepare assignments, tests, and practical exams
- Evaluate student performance regularly
- Provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Student Support & Mentorship
- Assist students with doubts and technical challenges
- Encourage creativity and problem-solving
- Motivate students for career growth in IT
- Curriculum & Content Development
- Follow and improve the DCA syllabus
- Update course materials based on current trends
- Prepare notes, presentations, and practice materials
- Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
- Track attendance and student participation
- Ensure timely completion of course modules
- Digital & Professional Development
- Introduce students to:
- Freelancing basics
- Digital tools and platforms
- Stay updated with latest technology trends
- Qualifications & Skills
- Candidates with prior teaching experience in computer courses (DCA or similar programs) will be given preference. An academic qualification (degree) is not mandatory for this position.
