Library Management Workshop 2024
Yours Humanly Nepal’s Library Management Workshop is a key component of our Dynamic Library Program, aimed at preparing staff, fellows, and library facilitators to effectively run inclusive and child-friendly libraries. Designed and primarily conducted by our Chairperson, Candina Gurung, the workshop provides structured, hands-on training in book categorization by genre and reading level, engaging children through book reviews, and cultivating positive reading habits. The sessions also cover strategies for drawing young readers into books and managing library spaces efficiently. As part of the workshop, a special session was conducted by Kathmandu Publishing, contributing additional insights into reading practices for school-aged children. This initiative supports our broader Bridging Gaps project and strengthens the long-term impact of our library programs.
